Goa
Health and Travel will help you arrange all the details,
such as, making medical arrangements at any of our
partner Hospitals, arranging accommodations, transportation,
and even tour excursions during the period of your
stay.
Getting
in touch :
After
filling in the application form or even prior to that,
you can contact us with any questions you may have.
We will explain what Goa Health and Travel can do
for you-both your holiday and your treatment-along
with making sure that you are aware of any pre-medical
exclusions that may prevent you from undertaking treatment
and of any risks involved.
Consultation :
Within
a week after we are contacted we will send you your
quotation. If you are interested, we will make the
necessary arrangements for you to discuss your case
by e-mail with one of our specialists. Once the consultation
has been concluded and you have decided to receive
treatment, you will receive a complete quote with
details of your medical treatment along with accomodation
costs, transfers, etc
Schedule
:
We
will send you your holiday package three weeks prior
to your departure. This package will contain your
schedule, contact numbers, and useful tips on what
to bring on your visit.
Please
notify us of any change in your medical situation
before you travel.
On arrival :
Upon
your arrival in Goa or anywhere in India, you will
be met by one of our co-ordinators, who will help
you to ensure that your entire stay is a pleasant
and memorable one. You will be escorted by a private
car from the International Airport to your hotel,
where you will be comfortably checked-in.
Apart
from making the arrangements for your medical treatment,
We will be more than happy to help organize a holiday
for you so that you can experience and enjoy the many
treats Goa or India has to offer. Just let us know
what interests you, and we’ll take care of the
rest to make sure your stay in Goa is a once in a
lifetime experience.
At
the hospital :
After
you arrival in Goa, you will visit your surgeon for
your first appointment. This appointment is for the
doctor to discuss the details of your treatment with
you, and finally, set the date and time for it. If
the treatment is to be an operative one, your doctor
will perform a blood test, and your blood pressure
and pulse will be taken. Please inform your doctor
of any allergies or medical conditions you may have.
You
will be asked to sign a consent form allowing the
hospital to perform the required surgery.
Before
going in for surgery, here are a few guidelines for
you :
If
you have any conditions that requires more specific
details, we will let you know in advance.
If
you will be having a general anesthetic, please do
not eat or drink anything 6 hours prior to your surgery.
If
you will be having a local anesthetic, please do not
eat anything 6 hours prior to your surgery. However,
you may drink clear fluids, such as water, tea, or
coffee, until 2 hours prior to the surgery. Alcohol
is prohibited.
Prepare
a small overnight bag to take to the hospital.
Do
not take any jewelry except a watch if you so require.
Please
remove all piercings, even in areas that will not
be treated by the surgery.
If
you are on any medication, please make sure you bring
it with you to the hospital so that you can continue
your course, and present it to your anesthetist before
the surgery.
If
you are wearing contact lenses and having a general
anesthetic, you will be asked to remove them. It is
advised that you bring regular glasses if you will
be having surgery involving your eyes or the area
around them.
On
the day of your surgery, a driver will meet you at
your hotel to take you to the hospital. Admission
procedures will have been taken care of prior to your
arrival. When you arrive you will be taken to your
private room. The nurses will make the final preparations
for the surgery. If you have any questions, please
feel free to ask them.
After
the surgery you will be kept under observation at
the hospital for one or two days as a standard procedure.
Your partner or friend may stay with you at the hospital
for as long as you are in the hospital. After this
period you will have a final meeting with your surgeon
where he will give you instructions for your post-surgery
care. Please feel free to ask your surgeon any questions
you may have. A date will be set for a follow-up appointment
with your surgeon.
After
this you will be discharged from the hospital and
your driver will take you back to your hotel.
Back home with Happiness :
On
the day of your departure, your Co-ordinator will
meet with you at your hotel and escort you to the
airport, where you will be assisted in checking-in.
You
will return home relaxed and refreshed from your stay
in the tropical paradise of Goa, so much so that family
and friends will notice the new you - the same person,
just better.
Once
you are back at home, you will be able to contact
your surgeon directly by phone and e-mail. This is
so that you can return home confident that you will
receive all necessary post-surgery care in your home
